“I try to hook up every day. What's the point of calendars without dates?” ―Lauren Kate

The Hook-Up Culture and Premature Sex

Theme

Experts estimate that almost two-thirds of all teenagers are somehow involved in the “hook-up culture,” which accepts and encourages casual sexual encounters that are “not personal.” The focus is short-term physical pleasure with no commitments and no attachments. Researches have shown that having sex in adolescence can have serious consequences on body and mind, this is because the act takes place when the nervous system is still developing.
